excerpt from a traveler never feels the wind, or hears it, 2014, 15:54 loop, HD video |
|
Responding to unseen forces, a glass wanders back and forth across a non-descript floor. For us, the connection between glass and floor exemplifies an intimate, engaged relationship between self and other, which can only exist when one releases control of one’s place, of one’s presence, as in travel. The glass moves unsurely, as though dialling in to a radio broadcast, tracing lines but never settling - caught up in this active co-presence. |
